In the mainstream world, Y2K, gothic, and punk styles are often misunderstood — labeled as “crazy,” “rebellious,” or “too much.” But these labels are just the price of freedom.

Our founder Delia once lived a “perfect” life on the surface — a stable job, a predictable relationship, and a safe version of herself. She loved dark aesthetics and punk fashion but never dared to wear them out of fear of judgment.

On her 30th birthday, Delia walked away from that life. She put on the bold jewelry she used to hide and wore the outfits that made her feel alive. For the first time, she saw her real self in the mirror — fierce, unapologetic, and free.

Blackyyds was born to be a home for the misunderstood, the bold, and the quietly powerful — a dark aesthetic brand for those who don’t fit in and don’t want to.
